SCOPUS CAPITAL is an Investment Boutique founded in Munich 2012.
As part of our business unit „Alternative Investments“ we focus on opportunistic investments in Private Equity and Private Debt. Due to the attractive market conditions we focus currently on mezzanine financing in real estate investments providing equity substitution to project developers, builders and asset managers (financing profile). The invested capital is provided by SCOPUS shareholders as well as wealthy individuals, familiy offices and foundations being served by SCOPUS as investment manager. We achieved a transaction volume of more than 1.5 billion EUR in this business unit over the last years.
Our business unit „Project Developments“ is focused on entrepreneurial propety developments in several asset classes up to 100 million EUR thoughout Germany. As a result, we invest both in large A and B cities as well as in C and D cities of 20,000 inhabitants or more, in developed or undeveloped land, and in existing properties with value creation potential (acquisition profile). Due to our know-how and capital we are also able to invest as a partner in a joint-venture. We achived a transaction volume of more than 1.4 billion EUR solely in this business unit.
Team
Dirk Roesing Managing Partner
Dirk Roesing started his career at Daimler Benz AG in 1986 after the completion of his studies in Business Administration. Then he worked as Head of Controlling and M&A at VOBIS AG, a company of the Metro Group before he joined the Amer Sports Group (Atomic, Wilson, Salomon) as European Finance Director and German Managing Director. As CFO of telegate AG he built the business of the company together with the other board members and led the IPO of telegate. Until mid of 2013 Dirk Roesing was the Supervisory Board Chairman of SHS Viveon AG, which he lead as CEO from 2003 to 2009. In addition, he was a partner at b-to-v Partners AG from 2010 to 2012. Dirk Roesing has been the Supervisory Board Chairman of Aurelius Management SE and the Chairman of the Shareholders' Committee Aurelius SE & Co.KGaA since 01.10.2015, and he was the Supervisory Board Chairman of Aurelius AG until 09.06.2016.Andreas Gerrit Müller Managing Partner
Before co-founding Scopus Capital in 2012, Andreas worked as investment manager for the venture capital investment firm b-to-v Partners AG (formerly called BrainsToVentures AG) in St. Gallen and Munich. Before that, he was Associate at Atlantic Ventures GmbH (today Atlantic Internet GmbH), a venture capital firm in Berlin. Additionally he worked for several internet start-ups in Berlin. Over the years Andreas was involved in building and financing several companies. He studied business administration at Witten/Herdecke University, IPADE Business School (Mexico), Management Center Innsbruck and Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid (ICADE).Justus SartoriusHEAD of INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT
Justus Sartorius worked for the strategy consulting firm Bain & Company as well as for the real estate private equity investor Blue Colibri Capital in Munich and Luxembourg. During this time he gained comprehensive knowledge in the areas of corporate development and real estate investments. He studied business administration at the university of St. Gallen (HSG) as well as real estate economics at the university of Regensburg (IREBS).
Carsten Bischoff Investment Analyst
Carsten Bischoff studied Business Administration in Munich as well as Oestrich-Winkel. During his studies, he focused increasingly on alternative investments. After two semesters abroad in Australia and Italy, he graduated as Master in Finance. Before joining SCOPUS CAPITAL, Mr. Bischoff completed several internships in the venture capital business in Berlin. In addition, he gained first experience as Investment Analyst working for a real estate developer.Philipp Bettmer Investment Analyst
Philipp Bettmer studied business administration at the EBS University of Economics and Law in Oestrich-Winkel after completing a banking apprenticeship. Prior to SCOPUS CAPITAL, he worked in the Investment Team of Corestate Capital Group in Frankfurt am Main and acquired experience in the development and validation of new products, services and related business models during various internships.
Nadine Schneider Client Manager
After her apprenticeship as a bank clerk, Nadine completed further training as an IHK-certified business administrator on the side. Nadine then studied Business Administration part-time at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Munich. Before joining SCOPUS CAPITAL, she worked for several years as a customer advisor at Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte, a medium-sized cooperative bank in Ingolstadt. In the course of her professional career, she was able to gain extensive experience in customer service and the investment business.
